Prior to joining the Foreign Service, Jeremy worked as a Systems Engineer for a large insurance company in Virginia, where he had 15 years of experience supporting a network of over 1,000 computers and users. He possesses strong technical aptitude and enjoys his family life. Originally from Seattle, Washington, Jeremy graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia with a Computer Management Information Systems Degree, while also working to get his private pilot’s license and become a certified EMT for the State. Although he is currently living overseas, he still considers Virginia his home.
Jeremy enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids. They love hiking, camping, or just sitting at home watching movies. Jeremy and his wife, Allie, are passionate about global outreach and they are intentional to make an impact in whatever place they go. They strive to learn from and interact from other cultures and find the value they bring by working together in a meaningful way. Jeremy and his family embrace the opportunities that international living presents, fostering a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and a commitment to making a positive impact in their current community. Jeremy Dillinger is a Diplomatic Technology Specialist currently serving his second tour in Guangzhou, China, following his initial post in Nairobi, Kenya. In his role, Jeremy is responsible for managing and maintaining secure communication systems, providing technical support to embassy and consulate staff, and ensuring the integrity and security of information systems. He plays a crucial role in enabling diplomatic missions by leveraging technology to support the State Department's objectives.
